The demonstration cinema
The demonstration cinema has:
- A Sony 4K laser projector
- A 2.8 metre wide acoustically transparent screen
- A Lyngdorf Audio 7.2.2 sound system
- Kaleidescape film players, run from one handheld remote
- Cinema seating you can test for comfort
Bring a film you know well. Hearing a scene you have watched a dozen times on a living room TV is the quickest way to understand what a properly designed room does.
Lighting that sets the scene
Lighting is half of a cinema's atmosphere. The showroom cinema has its own lighting scenes, with the LED strips, picture spots and shelf lighting each set from a wall touchscreen, so you can see how one press takes the room from bright to film mode. See smart lighting and shading.

Design meetings, interiors and CPD
The showroom includes a meeting room set up for presentations with architects, interior designers and clients. It is where we talk through designs and interior options: ceiling panels and fabric walling that hide speakers and acoustic treatment, seating that balances looks with comfort, and lighting that works for a film and for everyday use. We also host our RIBA and BIID accredited CPD sessions here.
Partner demonstration centres
For some products we specify, we can also arrange, as part of the design process, to go with you to a specialist partner demonstration centre so you can try the technology for yourself. Ask us when you visit.
