Who we are
This website, smarthomecinemas.co.uk, is run by Art of Integration Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 08298612. Our registered office is Unit 101 Image Court, 326-328 Molesey Road, Hersham, Surrey, KT12 3PD. Our showroom is in the same building, in Walton-on-Thames. We design and install home cinema and smart home automation systems across Surrey and London.

What personal data we collect
We collect personal data you give us directly:
- Enquiry forms: your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the type of project you are planning and anything you write in your message. Some of our older forms also ask what best describes you (end user, architect, interior designer, property developer, construction company or electrical contractor).
- Showroom bookings: if you book a showroom visit through our scheduling provider, Calendly, it collects your name, email address and chosen time. Booking takes place on Calendly’s own website.
- Newsletter: your email address, if you have subscribed to our newsletter.
- Correspondence: anything you send us by email or tell us by phone.
We also collect some technical data automatically when you visit the site:
- Server and delivery data: like every website, our servers and our image delivery network receive your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so that the site can be delivered to you and kept secure.
- Analytics data, only if you accept Statistics cookies: the pages you view, how long you stay, how you arrived at the site, your device and browser type and your approximate location (town or region), linked to a randomly generated identifier stored in a cookie.
Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie the site uses.
Why we use your data and our lawful bases
- Responding to your enquiry and preparing proposals: our legitimate interests in replying to a request you made, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Delivering and supporting an installation: performance of our contract with you.
- Sending our newsletter: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Understanding how our website is used (Google Analytics): your consent, given by accepting Statistics cookies. Google Analytics does not load until you accept.
- Playing our showroom film from YouTube: your choice to load it by pressing play.
- Delivering the website quickly and securely (hosting, image delivery and our reviews display): our legitimate interests in running a fast, secure website.
- Keeping business records: legal obligation (accounting and tax law).
You do not have to give us your details, but we need your contact details to reply to your enquiry. We do not make decisions about you by automated means.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run our website and our business:
- Hostinger, our website hosting provider, which stores the website and its database;
- Microsoft (Microsoft 365), our email provider, which receives enquiry form emails and our correspondence with you;
- ShortPixel, our image delivery network, which receives your IP address when it serves the images on each page;
- Google, which provides Google Analytics (only if you accept Statistics cookies), and the YouTube player for our showroom film;
- Trustindex, which displays our customer reviews on some pages and receives your IP address when the reviews load;
- Calendly, if you book a showroom visit;
- the web agencies that build and maintain our website, where they need access to do that work; and
- our accountants, where our records require it.
These providers act under contracts that restrict what they can do with your data. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, transfers rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
Enquiry data is kept for up to two years from our last contact, so we can pick up a project conversation where it left off. This applies to the enquiry email we receive and to any copy of your form submission stored in our website’s database.
Data connected to a completed installation is kept for six years after the end of the contract, in line with warranty and accounting requirements.
Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
Google Analytics data is deleted automatically after the period set in our Google Analytics account.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is wrong, or erased;
- restrict how we use it, or object to our using it where we rely on legitimate interests;
- receive it in a portable format; and
- withdraw your consent at any time where consent is the basis for using it. For cookies, use the Manage consent tab at the bottom of every page.

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first at hello@artofintegration.co or on 020 3397 9888. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and let you know the outcome without undue delay.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We review this policy from time to time and will post any changes on this page, with a new “Last updated” date at the top.
