Our showroom is in Hersham, so why not start there?
Our address says Walton-on-Thames, but Image Court is on Molesey Road right beside the platforms of Hersham station, about 0.9 miles in a straight line from the centre of the village. For most Hersham and Burwood Park homes, the demonstration cinema is a few minutes away. That matters more than it sounds. You can sit in the seats, hear a Lyngdorf 7.2.2 system through a 2.8 metre wide acoustically transparent screen, and try the Control4 touchscreen that runs lighting, heating, music, security and intercom, before you commit to anything in your own home.
Being this close also helps after handover. Our in-house maintenance team, led by our Technical Services Director, supports every system we install, many faults are fixed remotely, and when a visit is needed you deal with the same team that built the system.
Burwood Park: how does a private estate change the job?
Burwood Park is a private estate of 384 freehold homes on about 350 acres, built around the Manor House that Sir John Frederick put up in the 1700s. The 2nd Earl of Iveagh's company bought the estate in 1927 and developed it for housing. Since the end of 2019 it has been owned by Burwood Park Residents Limited. Access is controlled, with CCTV or number plate recognition cameras on the four entrances, three of which are residents only.
That shapes the practical side of a project. With most entrances for residents only, tell us how trades and deliveries should reach you, so installers arrive at the right gate. Homes on the Park also remain subject to their original covenants, which regulate development and alterations, and the estate itself estimates that around 220 properties have redevelopment potential. If yours is one of them, the next section matters. If you are planning external work such as cameras, door entry or garden lighting, check your covenants and speak to the estate first.
When should the cabling go into a new Burwood Park house?
Earlier than most people expect. Cable routes, rack positions, speaker locations and keypad heights are cheap to change on a drawing and expensive after plastering, so the best time to involve us is before first fix electrics. On a new build or full rebuild we typically plan:
- a structured cable network to every room, with wired Wi-Fi access points and a ventilated rack position
- Control4 whole-home automation for lighting, heating, blinds, audio and video
- smart security: CCTV, alarm, video doorbell and door entry on the same app
- a dedicated cinema room or media room, designed in 3D before the walls go up
A Guildford client who built new with us, reviewing on Google as Turning Left For Less, wrote: "We were working to a very tight timeline, but their work ethic and attention to detail really stood out." The network underneath all of this is covered on our data and Wi-Fi networks page.
Around Hersham Green and the rest of the village
Away from the Park, Hersham is a mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced houses and flats, with the River Mole running along its eastern side. The older heart of the village is protected as the Hersham Village conservation area, designated by Elmbridge Borough Council in 1989. It takes in The Green, Vaux Mead, the Memorial Gardens and most of the houses overlooking them, and includes the Grade II listed St Peter's Church and Hersham Memorial Cross. If your home is in it, check with Elmbridge before anything goes on the front of the house, such as an aerial, dish or camera facing the road.
Our nearest published project is just over the boundary: a media room renovation in Walton-on-Thames with a 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos Paradigm system, Lutron HomeWorks lighting and a single Control4 remote. We are a Platinum Control4 dealer, winner of the Control4 Circle of Excellence award in 2023, 2024 and 2025, and specialists in Lutron lighting control.
